About Life and Indulgence

Hiya everyone, monsieur aaron’s back again. Anyway just some random thoughts for the night. Life is certainly beautiful, but it’s filled with plenty of ups and downs, no? Though I wish to digress that recently in my life, I have been hit with lotsa down moments instead, heh like what’s new right? Get used to it.

Have I lost faith in God? No I don’t think so, I still think he’s looking out for me, waiting patiently there for me whenever I need Him. However sometimes when one gets caught up with his or her own problems such as real life issues, one starts to wonder whether his faith in everything has wavered. To be honest, I also tend to question abt my life occasionally to Him when things starts to go wrong for me, but sometimes things will just eventually get better or find a way for itself, when I tell myself I can definitely pull through this. And I think God has been very good to me, even though I haven’t been a very faithful one to Him, to be frank especially.

I believe somehow, that the role Mr. Resetti plays in Animal Crossing: Wild World, is that of something like a God, someone who tells you abt how life works in the game itself, and wakes up your bloody idea about resetting without saving first, lol. I took these screenshots quite sometime ago on my DS, but always forgot to post them up. Now I finally found a use for these pictures, heh. Yes, resetting yourself in Real Life is not allowed, it’s either you get over it and move on, or you just have to try to solve these problems with your own strength and try to adapt yourself to such drastic changes in your life. Only like this then you will grow as a person, and learn to be a stronger person. That’s how life works I guess. Remember, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, not weaker.

Anyway, enough abt all these. Let’s move on and take a peek at some happier stuffs in my life, shall we? :)

Got my Nintendo DS Lite (Crystal White set) from Gamescore earlier on last weekend. Jimmy told me that there were stocks coming in for the white set and Jac was nice enough to give me a good price for it, so I told him to reserved a set for me, and since I was gonna buy it sooner or later anyway to replace my old DS, so I decided to get it now since I have some extra moola to splurge from my freelance work. Bought it together with the Brain Age title which was also released recently, a pretty good brain teaser game. What’s more it also has Sudoku in it, though I’m not really a fan of it since I’m weak with numbers heh.

The above pictures are found from the internet, not my original pictures. Just to give you guys an idea what to expect in the DS Lite original japan package, and also the difference in brightness and contrast btw the old DS and the new DS Lite. To be frank, I’m really quite impressed with the screen quality and brightness of the DS Lite itself; it’s really alot improved over the old DS to be frank. In fact I can say in terms of viewing angle and brightness, the DS Lite itself is even better than what the Sony PSP’s LCD screen could offer, and that’s something since all of us know Sony PSP’s screen quality is pretty magnificent for that matter. And the last picture is just to show you how costly an imported japan set of the DS Lite would cost when it was just launched in Japan during March, due to production shortages by Nintendo Japan. As of now the shortages in Japan has been rectified or at least improving gradually over at Japan, so DS Lite supplies should suffice for awhile and there shouldn’t be too much of a marked up price for new sets now. Typically in Singapore currently, an imported DS Lite set would cost you btw 320 to 349SGD for one, so take note and don’t get ripped off if you’re planning to get one for yourself.

Another Made in Japan product. (日本主製品) Ordered the Laser Art Crystal Acryl strap and Sergent Keroro Cell Privacy Filter sticker from Strapya earlier on in April, and it finally arrived at my place last Sat. Took them 3 weeks to deliver them, and it was a pretty long-awaited one since I was pretty anxious abt the Laser Art Crystal Acryl strap since I wanted to put it on my new phone. As you can see from the pictures above, it’s pretty good quality material, you can see the wordings from both front and behind. Complements with my piano white 803T very well, glad that I didn’t make a wrong choice for this one, since it was the first time I tried buying cellphone accessories off Strapya’s site. It also makes my cellphone more unique in a way, ala my own cellphone and style. (though I doubt I will see another 803T user on the streets so easily since this model is pretty rare here) Haven’t tried out the Sergent Keroro’s Privacy Filter sticker yet, don’t see the need for it now but it could probably come useful in future, that’s why I bought it as well. Some of you might find Sergent Keroro familiar, yes it’s one of Bandai’s licensed mascot, which has its own cartoon series in Japan and also games on the PS2 as well. Some of you might also have seen Sergent Keroro’s figurine and related goods in the jdrama ‘Densha Otoko‘ last year.

Just some random food pics, heh are you feeling hungry now? That’s Swenson’s Breaded Chicken and Pastamania’s Prawns and Mushrooms pasta for your info, taken on some random day which I forgotten which.

Bought Lucido’s fiber clay and hair spray since my one was running out. I usually use Lucido’s Mat Hair-styling wax for styling my long hair, but felt that probably the wax’s holding strength wasn’t strong enough, since most of the time I can’t maintain the hairstyle I want as soon as I’m outside after awhile, so I decided to try the fiber clay with extra hold. So far so good, it’s much better and of course, I must emphasize also that it’s also another Made in Japan product (日本主製品). Last time used to use Vidal Sasson and Gatsby hair products, and Gatsby ones are generally pretty popular among the guys here, but personally I still prefer Lucido ones so I’m sticking to these. Can be bought at Watsons easily so go take a look if you’re interested. If anyone of you need recommendation on buying styling wax or clay for hair can always ask me hehe.

There was a bookfair going on earlier on in April at the Singapore Expo, and I went to check it out with Syahmi to see whether there are any good bargains. He been a super book nook, bought 3 books when we walked out of that bookfair (of which 2 are quite popular books which was quite a good bargain too) and I bought myself this, since I’m always curious in reading up more about health and self-improvement. Some of you might find this book pretty familiar, and yes this book was a real cheap bargain to me, cos I saw the exact same copy at Kinokuniya selling for 25+SGD. (!!!) Pretty pretty good book, tells you about what kind of food diet is the best and beneficial for various different blood type groups, and also advices on the different food groups. Talk about eating healthy, heh.

Last Fri went to Kino to collect my latest issue of UptoBoy, and the copy of Newsmaker was from last last weekend. I don’t usually buy Newsmaker but I’m glad I did, cos it’s a music-coverage magazine and this mth’s issue is with Hyde on the cover, so all the more I cannot miss. For those who knows me well will certainly know that Hyde (also lead singer/guitarist of band L’Arc~en~Ciel) is one of my fav japanese musician and singer artiste, and I really have alot of respect for him, cos people who are very musically talented tend to inspire me alot. Not to mention also that actually both of us are pretty similiar in some ways, through the magazine interviews I read of him from last time. There’s quite a few good pages of full images of him in this magazine, but I am lazy to scan it so I merely told my camera to snap a few shots for you guys to see. I think Lorraine would really love this, cos there’s really alot of full pages of his images in this magazine, the photo-shoots are all done on location in Los Angeles, and also filled with 3 full pages of interviews. (mostly about his new album ‘Faith’ and his work and life in LA over these past few mths) A definite must-buy for any Hyde-fans, so don’t miss it. Remember you heard it here first, heh. *grins*

Alrights that’s all for today, that’s certainly quite alot of pictures that I had uploaded for today man. Oh before I forget, today’s 1st of May, so I believe most of you have already gotten the progress package already ya? Actually I already got my on the 28th of April, got a heads-up from my friend Yonghao, and when I login into my internet-banking that day to check, that’s when I realised that they gave us early. (actually I believe the reason has nothing to do with the govt, since May 1st is a public holiday and banks here don’t work on public holidays, so thus the reason why it’s credited into our accounts early I think) Anyway extra moola in our bank accounts, of course everyone is happy right? Heh I don’t think I have anything to spend on already, since I just bought what I wanted last mth and basically there’s nothing much on my current wishlist already. But I’m going for shopping tmr with Grace & Syahmi so will probably go shop for some fashion accessories like ear-studs (I’m still wearing the default ones lol, cos I’m lazy to take them out) and prob also go take a look around and see if there’s any fashion wear that catches my eye, been sometime since I did some shopping for clothes and stuff.

Ok monsieur aaron’s off to bed, good night everyone and have a happy labour day! : ))

  1. The Laser Art Crystal Acryl strap is damn cool! Can’t wait to see it in person!

Are you weak with numbers or maths? Sudoku doesn’t have anything to do with calculation at all. >.

  2. Valentine: Haha yup, I love the strap very much…very uniquely me, lolol. I have included the first picture of the EMS package, so u can see the URL of the site clearly if you’re interested in buying and customising ur own one. I do feel abit reluctant to share the info at first, but figured that I shouldn’t be so selfish to my friends afterall, lol.

As for Sudoku, let’s just say I’m not a fan of numbers nor maths. All my friends knows that I really hate maths. I feel giddy when I see too many numbers, lmao. I prefer more traditional thinking games like bejeweled or scramble if u ask me.
