Living Like A Gamer

To summarise in my own words, a true gamer’s spending is worth a million dollars. Ok maybe that’s just me trying to be exaggerated, but I think the most hardcore of the hardcore gamer could actually achieve that. In other words, it’s never easy to be a true gamer. Think of the hardware or software that you have to splurge each month, especially when keeping up with those game releases schedule, and you have one hell of a headache and finance planning to deal with already.

So my preorders from JP Playstation.com finally arrived earlier on this week. I spent quite alot this time for this order purchase, but what shocked me is the incurred shipping costs when I received my online shipping billing from VpostJapan, almost costing me a cool 50 dollars, and it’s not even some limited edition or special bulk order. I was puzzled as to why the shipping was so expensive this time, and when the parcel package finally came, I finally understood why.

The parcel box looks much bigger in real life, trust me. It was by far the largest parcel package I had received to date, apart from the special orders I had made online previously for either my limited editions games or hardware like the Playstation 2 BB pack bundle. This was only a normal game order. So due to the box size, I was charged for volumetric weight rather than the actual weight this time, blame it on VpostJapan’s part; it’s part of their working policy. But well the point is, the thing is already here, so I shall just sit here and suck thumb, and just be happy and satisfied with the fact that my stuffs had arrived safe and sound without any damage. Yeah I guess we shouldn’t procrastinate too much in life, just live it as we should ya? (hurhurhur yea right, like real.)

The games and preorder stuffs that came with it. From bottom left to right: Katamari PSP, Mobile Patlabor PSP, Fukufuku No Shima PSP and Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence First Pressing Edition. And from top left to right: Katamari PSP pouch, Porter strap lanyards, UMD cases (comes with every single UMD game you buy from JP Playstation.com).

A close-up view of the preorder bonus that came with Katamari PSP.

So other than games and stuffs, I also bought 2 pieces of the Porter strap lanyards; a black one for my Sharp 903SH and a khaki green one for my Sony PSP. The quality of it is actually pretty good, but well it’s damn costly in the first place so I guessed somehow the price justified the QC of the Porter straps. Costs 3990yen each, just for a freaking piece of lanyard mind you, so yeah you do the maths. Pictures as below.

Made in Nihon indeed. Anyway I took out the khaki green color one out to take a picture, so can let you guys see how is the quality build of it. The texture is very thick and abit rugged kind, not those thin and smooth kind like those normal lanyards we usually get outside. Very matching with my Porter PSP pouch, but I doubt I will use my pouch anytime soon lol, so for now the lanyard will do just fine.

Lastly but not least, this Hori PSP media wallet pouch is given to me by Jimmy (gupster), my belated Christmas prezzie from him. Don’t think I gotta use it anytime soon since I seldom bring my PSP and UMD games out, but it’s a nice and handy one to have when you have those upcoming long vacation trips and you want to bring a couple of your games together along with your PSP overseas. Thanks brother, I love it yeah.

Haven’t had the time to try out any of the games yet, so will do up the impressions and reviews later when I give them a hands-on. My Sony PSP has been given the cold shoulder in recent months, so hopefully I will get back to playing it soon.
