GE Afterthoughts?

My my, look at the time. It’s 6.35am now and the sun haven’t even officially rise yet. I just woke up from a good solid 9 hours of sleep, since I had an overnight session with the doutei gang outside on Fri night, and only came back home around 7am in the morning on Sat. We met in the evening for dinner and Mission Impossible 3, then after that it was more chilling out at the Swensons @ Orchard for some ice-cream with lotsa random guy’s talk and crapping around, and before we headed back we even had our morning breakfast at the Mcdonald’s near Shaw Tower which was opened 24-hours. Anyway come to think of it, I haven’t really did something like this for quite awhile, really have to hand it to the guys for that night-out session heh. I had certainly enjoyed myself, thanks to the great company.

So well, the Elections are finally over. I believe most of us already know the results of the voting by now; PAP won by a good margin of 66.6% votes and managed to return their mandate to the Parliament with the results. It’s over now and I won’t try to discuss this over and over again, but let’s just say I voted for what I thought was right. I had always believed that there’s a need to strike a balance when it comes to democracy and power in a society, and having the same group or a bunch of people ruling the country for over a couple good years, is certainly not very healthy in my opinion when it comes to building a balanced society in our current era. Still I don’t deny that PAP has done their fair share of good part for us, since they did helped to tide us over during the hard times like the economic downturn after the Sept 11th and SARS issue, and that’s something worth applauding for. But it’s probably just me, cos I’m not really comfortable when a certain power lies in one’s hands for too long. That thought is just enough to make me uneasy, that’s all. Everyone knows when one has the power to make decisions, power corrupts easily. This is so true even till today, in lotsa countries other than Singapore.

To be frank, I’m not someone who’s really interested in political stuffs, so these are just some of my personal perspectives and views abt it, and I don’t think it’s too sensitive either since everything is over now. I’m just expressing some of my afterthoughts abt the whole matter, considering how this thing was quite popularly debated and discussed over at one of my fav local forums. It’s over now, and we just have to move on and hope eventually everything will turn for the better for all of us, as what the PAP has promised all of us earlier on, if they managed to return their mandate for their side.

More photo updates and stuffs coming up soon, later guys. : ))

About Life and Indulgence

Hiya everyone, monsieur aaron’s back again. Anyway just some random thoughts for the night. Life is certainly beautiful, but it’s filled with plenty of ups and downs, no? Though I wish to digress that recently in my life, I have been hit with lotsa down moments instead, heh like what’s new right? Get used to it.

Have I lost faith in God? No I don’t think so, I still think he’s looking out for me, waiting patiently there for me whenever I need Him. However sometimes when one gets caught up with his or her own problems such as real life issues, one starts to wonder whether his faith in everything has wavered. To be honest, I also tend to question abt my life occasionally to Him when things starts to go wrong for me, but sometimes things will just eventually get better or find a way for itself, when I tell myself I can definitely pull through this. And I think God has been very good to me, even though I haven’t been a very faithful one to Him, to be frank especially.

I believe somehow, that the role Mr. Resetti plays in Animal Crossing: Wild World, is that of something like a God, someone who tells you abt how life works in the game itself, and wakes up your bloody idea about resetting without saving first, lol. I took these screenshots quite sometime ago on my DS, but always forgot to post them up. Now I finally found a use for these pictures, heh. Yes, resetting yourself in Real Life is not allowed, it’s either you get over it and move on, or you just have to try to solve these problems with your own strength and try to adapt yourself to such drastic changes in your life. Only like this then you will grow as a person, and learn to be a stronger person. That’s how life works I guess. Remember, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, not weaker.

Anyway, enough abt all these. Let’s move on and take a peek at some happier stuffs in my life, shall we? :)

Toshiba 803T says Hello World!

Yoo minna. It’s been a long 3 weeks hiatus. Life has been busy for me, although I have to stress that getting caught up with real life issues is definitely not fun at all, so I’m sorry for the lack of updates. Rest assured that there will be some slow but steady updates coming right back soon within the next few days, as I have finally found the time to blog again. Got myself hooked up with some freelance projs recently, and also currently struggling with my on-going japanese classes, which explained why I was missing from this space for pretty awhile.

Anyway, I got myself a new phone earlier on this month again (sigh what to do, a gadget freak I am) and it’s another one of those Vodafone models again. May I introduce you guys to the limelight of today’s blog entry, the Toshiba 803T by Vodafone Japan (now officially known as Softbank Mobile Corp).

View Full Specifications: here.

View Product Features: here.

Now we shall move on to the pictures. : )

Woot TGIF!

Hohoho minna! It’s a beautiful Friday again, wow my fav day of the week haha. Finally had some time to really sit down and write my blog (yeah I know it’s excuses, yeah laziness got monsieur aaron, so Shaun you’re not alone alright, lol). I promised to blog at least once a week, but I’m guilty since last week I didn’t blog at all, so my bad. Hope my friends and readers haven’t been missing me too much, lol.

Anyway for the past week, things have been rather interesting lah I tell ya. I didn’t know my site was so popular with anonymous strangers, that my blog was actually used as a debate topic in one of the local forums I frequent. Like what the hell right? Apparently someone wasn’t too happy with what I write in my blog, so he decided to question my reasons for using the F-word and what’s not. Of course it’s plain stupid that I have to do these kind of self-gratification for myself, I mean what the hell, it’s my own blog, why should I answerable to you for my own blog’s content? I write what I like in my very own site, if you are not happy with the site’s contents, don’t read lah! Like I give a flying fuck about who is actually reading my blog. My blog is for me to rant, to brag, to procrastinate and to pimp stuffs I like about in my life, and also to let my friends read about my life’s happenings. Why should I give a flying fuck about how other strangers think about my blog? Especially when it’s anonymous strangers like you? Yes YOU! So please wisen up, stop acting like you are my parents or someone who’s god-damn worthy of respect. You’re probably just some fugging oyaji, or rather a sad fuck who surfs the fucking same forum as me and came upon my blog by chance. Bring your F-word free campaign somewhere else please, cos people like YOU are definitely not welcomed over here, get it?

Ok I’m done man, enough of the rants. Now onto the happier stuffs in my life shall we? :)

We’ll Get There Eventually

“Things ain’t what they used to be, but let’s take things, one step at a time. We’ll get there eventually, as long as we are together.”

Hey everyone, monsieur aaron’s back. Sorry about this week’s late update, but since I promise to write at least once a week, so here I am. No doubt everyone has some real issues in life to worry abt, me included. But still I try to live my life to the fullest and as positively as I could, for life is short and I’m not really quite young anymore, so I wanna live it with zest and love and appreciate the life that I’m given by my parents and God, to cherish and relish every moment of life. Nothing is perfect in life but it’s all about how you appreciate and enjoy every finest moment of it. And like they always say, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.

Nintendo Goodness

Went to the IT fair held at Suntec City Exhibition Hall last fri with the guys, all just purely for a single reason. So what was that reason? It was to check out that new Nintendo DS Lite hardware in person. For the past few weeks I had already heard so much about it from several sites, seen the pictures of the launch of it in Japan from the internet, but to be able to see it in person was like so freaking enticing, not to mention exciting. So off we went to the Nintendo booth (which was quite surprising that Maxsoft had two booths instead of one) at the IT fair last week. Another reason was because Brendam, Chengkai and Xiangyao was working at the Xbox 360 booth there, so Val, Brandon and me decided to head there to meet up with those guys as well. Ronald came down to join us too despite not having a wink for more than 48 hours and counting (he’s just exhibiting his FFXI craziness at his best again heh) and then to end off the night, all of us went to Marina Square for dinner at Carl’s Jr for some good o’ Super Star goodness.

Now onto some pictures taken at the Nintendo booth from this gadget otaku heh.

Initial D: Street Stage

Finally. The long-awaited title from Sega finally arrives for the Sony PSP. As usual, since VpostJapan ships their japan parcels with all the processing duration crap involved, I only managed to get it via Singpost late last week. Preordered 3 copies since Jimmy (seizure) and Kaiwei was interested in this game as well, and it also comes with a free bonus UMD for the Japan R2 copies only and is only bundled with preorders in Japan.

Now onto the pictures and my hands-on impressions for this game.

Summing Up My Weekend

Ahoy minna-san! Here’s my weekly update again, will try to do more regular updates from now on (at least once a week) so this site won’t seem so dead.

Met up with my besties last fri, had dinner at Pepper’s Lunch with them. Grace had to fly off to Dubai the next day so all of us decided to catch up and have a farewell dinner together, but in actual fact it was more of like the usual chill-out session for all of us, and of course with such quality company it makes me feel like I’m all smiles again.

After two weeks of fucking emotional struggles and hell all bottled up inside, countless nights of insomnia (my sleeping habits got screwed again) and plenty of frustrations released on videogames, seriously it only takes a couple of good friends’ company to actually make me feel better and at ease again.

And I profess, I really need this kind of quality company, people that I am familiar enough and all to share and hear my crap. Because I am not in the mood to entertain anyone in meaningless small talks. Honestly this is so much better than having those people around you who claims to be your friend, and then just leave you in the dust as soon as you admit that you have problems, and you can’t be happy all the time. Leaving only yourself to fend on your own.

What goes around, comes around. So if you find that I’m ignoring your requests now, or distancing myself away from you, now you know. I am not being an anti-social you know? I am merely telling you frankly that I am not going to waste my fucking time hanging out with people who takes me for granted, just for the fucking sake of having people to hang out with. I may be naive or gullible in the past, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t change at all. Now I am certainly not that monsieur aaron anymore you’d thought I was long ago. So read that well and read that clear, get it in your mind and move on.

Now, onto some photos taken over the weekend. : ))

Bleach DS: Souten Ni Kakeru Unmei

*roll drums* Another game-related entry for today. Got my copy of Bleach DS 蒼天に駆ける運命 last Sunday from Gamescore, since I had it preordered sometime back. Actually could have gotten it much earlier by Lunar CNY one, but cause stock was low everywhere and Deli’s supplier cannot meet the demand of the local shops, so it came in very limited quantities. I was unlucky that I didn’t manage to secure a copy of the first batches since only five copies came in that time, so I had to wait. Then finally Jimmy (gupster) who has been working there told me that stock finally came in last week, so I had him reserved for me a copy. Didn’t actually had the time to play till yesterday, and after trying out the first 1 or 2 hours, finally managed to complete Ichigo’s story. My impressions of this game is that it reminded me alot of the old Sega Genesis’s Yuu Yuu Hakusho, and gameplay style is quite similiar to Guilty Gear-XX too. As a 2D-fighter, this game is actually pretty good. Requires some depth in mastering the fighting moves, and technically the controls are pretty tight too and of course the animation cutscenes are pretty good as well. BGM soundtrack is also a plus, OP is the Ichirin no Hana theme by High & Mighty Color (which is also the current OP for the anime), and some of the BGM tracks inside are derived from the same anime too actually. Overall this is a pretty good and fun game, didn’t really regret buying this. (as opposed to Bleach ~Heat the Soul 1~, which is a fucking short and sucky game on the Sony PSP)

And on a side-note, the Nintendo DS Lite (Crystal White edition) gets released today. Sigh, can only see it online, no chance to even touch it. Sadly I don’t think I will be buying it anytime soon, maybe end of the month or even next month. Bank account is a little dry for now so I can’t make any implusive purchases for now, since I spent quite abit on preorder of games for last month. Will try to take some pictures if I do spot any of my friends having it when I drop by Gamescore the next time round. (I know there will be some crazy asses who will buy it within the first week…orz)

Born To Be Happy

Life should be more interesting and happening, than this.

I mean seriously, c’mon man. Some anonymous girl going by the name of ‘Tammy’ (like I give a hoot about her name) loses her hp (whether intentionally or not is none of my concern) and then the videos of her sex act with her boyfriend captured inside gets uploaded by some bitch/arch-rival in her school. Then commotion starts everywhere online, off the streets and even among us. So hordes of horny guys and sad-fucks have literally watched the said video and had already started spreading the links of the different parts of videos now to their friends and peers so more people can get high over it? (hey I seriously don’t give a fucking damn abt that video)

For Christ’s sake (or for the victim’s sake, if you’re not a Christian), please lah. Get a fucking life and move on. This issue needs to get over and done with, and the victim has already moved on with her life and is undergoing counselling now. I don’t see how this thing can get discussed over and over again, on local blogs and discussions pertaining to the topic. I mean, it’s only a fucking seventeen year old anonymous girl, fucking with her boyfriend, recorded on a sucky 3GPP video format. If you need porn, you can probably get better ones than this definitely, I know you fucking sukebes out there can get better than this. And of course I profess, I still haven’t seen this Tammy video yet, cos I’m seriously not interested in it. (in all honesty, yes I have my own sources for my porn needs, so why should I subject myself to this kind of crap?)

You can be a fucking sukebe, but please be a smart one, and keep your morality at all times. And I’m quoting this: “The most important human endeavor is the striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance, and even our very existence depends on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to our lives.” Originally by Albert Einstein, not yours truly of course. (yeah the poet in me sucks)
